WiFi

  • Please check your Welcome email for the WiFi network and password.
  • If the internet is not working, double-check that you are on the correct network.
  • If you still cannot connect, unplug the router for 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
  • Still having issues? Give us a call at (949) 649-3828 for some additional support.

Refrigerator

  • It can take 24 to 48 hours for the refrigerator to cool all the food and other items stored inside. This is usually the case when it goes from being completely empty to being filled with a full load of groceries. This is also especially true if you add room-temperature liquid goods, like sodas and beer.
  • To help speed up the process, try putting your water bottles and freezer-friendly food into the freezer. Store them inside for 20 to 30 minutes to chill them. Then, transfer them back to the refrigerator.

Dishwasher

  • Use dishwasher pods or liquid detergent in the dishwasher only. DO NOT use regular dishwashing soap in the dishwasher.

Laundry

  • The washer and the dryer are in the bathroom next to the game room and garage entry.
  • Do not stuff and overload the washing machine when using it. It may break the machine. And it doesn’t clean well when it is too crowded to allow full movement.
  • Do not add laundry that is soiled with solids and/or large particles.
  • Only use laundry detergent intended for washing machines.
  • Clean out the dryer lint tray and discard all lint into the trash.

Heat & Air Conditioning

  • You may adjust the thermostat(s) between 67 – 79 degrees during your stay. Please remember to reset these thermostats to the default temperatures based on the season you visit.
  • The default temperatures are 76 degrees on Cool setting from April through October and 69 degrees on Heat setting from November through March.
  • You must keep all windows and exterior doors closed at all times to keep the bugs out, house cool, and control the interior humidity levels. Due to our area’s high humidity and your constant use of air conditioning inside the home, leaving the doors and windows open will cause the HVAC system to freeze over AND cause water damage to the walls, ceilings, and electronic door locks with condensation build-up. As such, the HVAC system will automatically turn off if the windows/doors are left open.

Grill

  • The charcoal grill is located outside on the left side of the backyard.
  • Clean off the grill after use to keep the backyard AND home free of pests, like cockroaches and rodents.

Pool

  • Swimming pools and hot tubs can potentially cause bodily harm and possible death if not used properly. You are FULLY responsible for supervising ALL guests, including anyone who was directly or indirectly invited by you. Please use the pool and hot tub at your own risk.
  • Be vigilant at ALL times in looking after children and anyone who cannot swim.
  • You are responsible for the safety and maintenance of the pool. Please inform us immediately if you suspect anything is not functioning properly. Except for cleaning out the skimmer basket and using our available nets, please do not operate or handle the enclosed pool equipment.
  • DO NOT put ANY small dive/children’s toys into the pool or hot tub. While playing with these in the pool may seem harmless, they always end up damaging our filters and pool pump. As a result, we check our filters and pool pump after EVERY guest’s departure. If we find foreign objects in our pool systems, we will charge you $100 or more for the damage fee.
  • DO NOT bring pets or any sharp/small objects into the pool. We prohibit the use of glass dinnerware or drinkware in the pool area. Rinse off before using the pool.
  • The swimming pool undergoes weekly cleaning and maintenance. During your stay, please empty the skimmer daily. Keep all floaties out of the pool when not in use.
  • While our pool is professionally serviced, you may find landscaping debris or cloudy water in the pool due to large storms with high wind and/or rain conditions that can change the water chemistry of the pool. Please use the pool net to remove any debris. If the water is cloudy from a recent storm, let us know and we will reach out to our pool tech.
  • Rinse off at the outdoor shower before entering the pool or hot tub. This is to keep the water clean and chemically balanced for your use. We have both the pool and the hot tub fully serviced and the chemicals replenished at least once a week.
  • Always make sure the Autofill switch is left ON located at the hose faucet. Be sure that the pool water level is always 2” above the bottom of the skimmer box to ensure that the pool pump works properly and doesn’t burn out.

Pool Heater

  • The pool heater is available for use only during the cold winter months of October 1 to May 31.
  • We do not heat the pool above 83 degrees in order to optimally maintain the pool’s system, energy use, and microbial growth. Feel free to take a bath in one of our bathtubs for a hot soak!
  • The pool is heated by an electric heat pump, which heats via the ambient air temperature. This means that the colder it gets outside, the harder it is for the pool to keep the water warm. When it drops to 55 degrees or less outside, the pool will stop heating altogether.

Hot Tub

  • The hot tub is normally set to 100 degrees. Call us if you have any questions regarding its operation.
  • Keep the hot tub covered with a thermal blanket and lightweight cover when not in use. Please recover the hot tub with both thermal blanket and cover when not in use to keep the hot tub water warm and clean.
  • When in use, please carefully place the cover next to the hot tub. Do NOT place the cover on the ground as it will get damaged or contaminated with dirt and grass.
  • Do not use any glassware near or in the hot tub.
  • Do not add any substances, such as dish soap and bath salts, into the hot tub,
  • Rinse off at the outdoor shower before entering the pool or hot tub. This is to keep the water clean and chemically balanced for your use. We have both the pool and the hot tub fully serviced and the chemicals replenished once a week.
  • While the hot tub undergoes regular maintenance, incidents sometimes occur. Call us immediately if the hot tub is not working properly.
